Description

The multiple star system Rho Ophiuchi is located in the constellation Ophiuchus at a distance of 360 light-years from Earth. Th e Rho Ophiuchi star system has at least 5 components with the main pair (Rho Ophiuchi AB), being a visual double, is composed of two class B2 stars, a giant and sub giant. The system is surrounded by a large region of nebulosity (Rho Ophiuchi Cloud Complex) which is one of the closest star-forming regions.
This image is a collection of one-clicks from March 2021-April 2022 and totals 18 hours of exposure time in LRGB @600s/sub with Telescope Live's CHI-1 PlaneWave CDK24 scope.
